Week of December 14
Holiday Continent Celebration is December 17 from 1:30 until 3. Bring your recipe from another continent cooked and ready to serve.
We will be MAP testing from 12-1 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Please make sure you child is at school if at all possible.
Reading
We will continue to work with the narrative elements of character, setting, plot. With plot we will focus on problem and solution. Your child's bag book is a great place to help reinforce these elements at home. Students should be able to answer questions like who, what, when, where, and why. We are working to get better at predicting as well.
Math
Students will review the skills of ten more, ten less, one more, one less, skip counting, and more.
Social Studies
We will finish our study of the continents and oceans this week.
