Dear Parents and Students,
Our 5th grade field trip was wonderful, and a great way to wind down the school year. The
children all seemed to enjoy themselves , and they were on their best behavior.
I'm truly blown away by the beautiful ABC books your children have put together. Each year I
am amazed at how much the children learn about all facets of American and world history by
completing this project. They are all so eager to share their hardwork with their peers. I hope
many of you will hold onto this project as a keepsake.
I also want to take the time to thank all of you for an amazing school year. This class has been
a collection of brilliance and talent that kept me on my toes and challenged me ( in a good way)
since day one. I wish your children the best of luck in middle school and I hope they will come
back to visit every now and again.
Every Friday the students will bring home their graded papers. We
require that a parent sign any papers that are 75% or below. We also require
that your child corrects his or her mistakes on that paper with your
assistance if necessary. This will allow you to be aware of your child’s
progress in the classroom. These papers will then need to be returned to the
classroom teacher on the following Monday. The agendas will go home daily and
we ask that you sign them every night as well.
We encourage open communication between school and home. Please feel
free to email us at any time or call after the students have been dismissed.

that you make an appointment first so we can protect instructional time; as
