Welcome to the home page for Music Education at Notre Dame Academy. The
Performance Arts teacher is Mrs. LoCurto (low - Ker - toe). She has a
Masters of Music Education from Georgia State University and has completed
her Level 1 Orff certification.
At NDA, preschool through 5th grade attends music class once a week. In MS,
an elective system allows for students to select between general music,
chorus, band, electronic music composition and music theatre. These classes
meet twice a week.
Letter from Mrs LoCurto:
Music is a rare gift from God to be enjoyed by and used to strengthen and
enrich our lives and the overall well-being of the community. I am blessed to
have the chance to make
music with your children and I look forward to everything we will accomplish
next year.
Letter from Mrs. Strott:
Hello! I am currently subbing for Mrs. LoCurto while she is home with her new
baby. I'm teaching General Music (Pre-K - Middle School) and Electronic Music
Composition (a Middle School elective using GarageBand software). Mrs.
LoCurto has created an outstanding music program at NDA, and it has been a
real pleasure to teach the curriculum and get to know all the wonderful
students and their families. I am grateful to the school community for a most
gracious welcome (and patient forbearance with the "new kid on the block").
Letter from Mr. Norris:
Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. I am very excited to
meet and get to know
all of you
