I helped open Puckett's Mill coming from Mason Elementary in Gwinnett County.
I have 20 years of experience teaching in kindergarten, first and third
grades.I moved to Georgia from Minnesota 25 years ago. Although I love
Minnesota, I could never go back and live in those cold winters! I received
my BA in Elementary Education in Minnesota and have earned certifications in
Gifted Education and ESOL while in Georgia.
Being a teacher is an important part of who I am. I feel fortunate to come to
school each day with the important responsibility of helping children learn.
I believe that the desire to learn is one of the most important things that I
can help instill in my students.
I live in Hamilton Mill with my husband and my golden retriever Riley. We
have 3 children - a son who is 27, a daughter aged 24, and a daughter 21 who
is at college. It gets pretty quiet around my house so I like being around
all the energy of my students at school! My family likes to stay active and
we spend much of our free time boating, swimming and on the jet ski at our
lake house. We also like watching and participating in sports. Of course one
of my other favorite things to do is read, just like all teachers! Also, I
like to travel and will share some of my interesting experiences with my
students.
I am very excited to be a third grade teacher at our awesome school!
