Picture in your mind rolling hills and acres of corn fields with cows mooing
in the distance, and that describes the rural Ohio area in which I attended
school. In first grade, while watching Mrs. Harrison present something new
and fascinating every day, I knew my calling was to be a teacher.
I have lived in the Atlanta area for all of my adult life, and have been
teaching for twenty seven years; all of it in Gwinnett County. The many
people, joys, and experiences teaching has brought to my life have truly
been a real blessing.
I completed my freshman year of college in Tulsa, OK. I completed my BA in
Elementary Education at Georgia State University, and
my Masters at the University of Georgia. My Gifted Certification was
completed through University of Georgia and Gwinnett County Public
Schools.
Spending time with my family and friends outside at the lake or in the
mountains is one of my favorite activities. I especially love getting to
spend time with my grandchildren! I also love to observe wildlife
and birds. I enjoy reading and entering the fascinating worlds of
wonderful authors.
