Mastery Club

This club is for students who want to go above and beyond to Soar Above the
Rest! It is 100% optional and designed for students who would like an extra
challenge. The challenges for the Mastery Club were borrowed from
Mrs. Renz, a teacher in Oregon. On rare occassions, your child may be given
opportunities to work on the challenges at school; however, most of the work
for the club will need to be completed at home.

Students who choose to participate in the club will be given a Mastery Club
notebook to keep track of their progress. At certain milestones (5, 15, 25,
50, 75, and 86) your child will receive a certificate and their name will be
placed in the Mastery Club Hall of Fame (where it will stay for
years to come!). We will also have a ceremony at the end of the year to
celebrate the successes of students who participated in the club.

So, how do you begin?

1) Please tell Mrs. Rogers that you are interested in the club. I will
give you a Mastery Club notebook.
2) Click on the link below that says Mastery Club Challenge to
see the questions. There are are also websites shown to help you answer the
questions.
3) In your notebook, write the number of the question and the answer.
4) Turn your notebook in with the rest of your homework on Fridays (when you
have new answers).
5) Mrs. Rogers will keep track of your challenges and let you know when
you've hit a milestone (you will also receive a certificate at the next class
meeting).
6) Have fun with your new knowledge!
