Thursday - September 1st - Students will participate in a lab using dry ice
and learning about implosion.
Friday - September 2nd - Students will find answers to an open book quiz to
learn how to study for a test. Test for Chapter 3 will be on Wednesday,
September 7th.
Tuesday - September 6th - Students will go over the questions on the quiz
that was given on Friday. Students will cover the rest of Chapter 3. Test for
Chapter 3 will be on Wednesday, September 7th.
Wednesday - September 7th - Students will be assessed on Chapter 3. Students
will begin working on the Chapter 4 Vocabulary and workbook pages.
Thursday - September 8th - Students will read and learn about the Periodic
Table of Elements, Chapter 4, Section 1.
Friday - September 9th - Students will read Chapter 4, Section 2.
Monday - September 12th - Students will read Chapter 4, Section 3. There is a
possibility of a quiz covering Chapter 4, Sections 1, 2, & 3 on Tuesday.
Chapter 4 test is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20th.
Tuesday - September 13th - Students will read Chapter 4, Section 4. Chapter 4
test is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20th.
Wednesday - September 14th - Students will continue to read Chapter 4,
Section 4. Chapter 4 test is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20th.
Thursday - September 15th - Students will read Chapter 4, Section 5. Chapter
4 test is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20th.
Friday - September 16th - Students will continue to read Chapter 4, Section 5.
Chapter 4 test is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20th.
Monday - September 19th - Students will review Chapter 4, all sections.
Chapter 4 test is tomorrow. Students will need to bring a 1 lt. bottle of
soda to class by Friday.
Tuesday - September 20th - Students will be assessed on Chapter 4 and will
begin vocabulary on Chapter 9, Motion. We will skip Chapters 5-8 for the time
being. Students will need to bring a 1 lt. bottle of soda to class by Friday.
Wednesday - September 21st - Students will read Chapter 9, Section 1.
Students will need to bring a 1 lt. bottle of soda to class by Friday.
Thursday - September 22nd - Students will read Chapter 9, Section 2. Students
will need to bring a 1 lt. bottle of soda to class by Friday.
Friday - September 23rd - Students will read Chapter 9, Section 3.
Monday - September 26th - Students will read Chapter 10, Section 1. Those
students that forgot to bring in their 1 liter will need to turn it in no
later than Wednesday, in order to participate in building water rockets which
is a project grade. Students will have a test on Chapter 10 early next week.
Tuesday - September 27th - Students will read Chapter 10, Section 2. Another
reminder for the 1 liter bottles. Students will have a test on Chapter 10
early next week.
Wednesday - September 28th - Students will read Chapter 10, Section 3.
Bottles are due today. Students will have a test on Chapter 10 early next
week.
Thursday - September 29th - Students will read Chapter 10, Section 4.
Students will have a test on Chapter 10 early next week.
Friday - September 30th - Students willl read Chapter 10, Section 5. Students
will have a test on Chapter 10 early next week.
Monday - October 3rd - Students will go over the answers to the study guide
with the substitiute and review for the Exam over chapters 9 & 10 for Tuesday.
Tuesday - October 4th - Students will be assessed on an Exam that will cover
chapters 9 & 10.
Wednesday - October 5th - Students will create paper rockets for stomp
rockets.
Thursday - October 6th - Students will create water bottle rockets.
Friday - October 7th - Students will launch water bottle rockets.
Monday - October 10th - Students will create water rocket bottles.
Tuesday - October 11th - Students will create water bottle rockets.
Wednesday - October 12th - Students will finish creating the water bottle
rockets.
Thursday - October 13th - Students will launch their rockets, if the weather
cooperates.
Friday - October 14th - Students will launc their water bottle rockets.
Monday - October 17th - Students will adjust their water levels on their
water bottle rockets.
Tuesday - October 18th - Students will read Chapter 11, Section 1.
Wednesday - October 19th - Students will read Chapter 11, Section 2.
Thursday - October 20th - Students will read Chapter 11, Section 3.
Friday - October 21st - No school.
Monday - October 24th - Students will read Chapter 11, Section 4. Chapter 11
test will be on Tuesday.
Tuesday - October 25th - Students will be assessed on Chapter 11. Students
will begin Chpater 12 Vocabulary that will be due on Wednesday.
Wednesday - October 26th - Students will read Chapter 12, Section 1. Chapter
12 test will ne next Tuesday.Students might have a lesson taught to them by
Ms. Crittenden. If that happens, today's lesson will be moved to tomorrow and
so forth for the remainder of the week.

test will be on Tuesday.
Friday - October 28th - Students will read Chapter 12, Section 3. Chapter 12
test will be on Tuesday.
Monday - October 31st - Students will finisch reading Chapter 12, Section 3.
Chapter 12 test has been moved to Friday.
Tuesday - November 1st - Students will begin labs dealing with simple
machines. Chapter 12 test has been moved to Friday.
Wednesday - November 2nd - Students will continue with labs dealing with
simple machines. Chapter 12 test has been moved to Monday.
Thursday - November 3rd - Students will continue with labs. Chapter 12 test
is on Friday.
Friday - November 4th - Students will be assessed on Chapter 12.
Monday - November 14th - Students will read Chapter 14, Section 1, pgs. 470-
477 and will complete WB pgs. 185-187 in class. Chapter 14 vocabulary words
should be used in sentences that are due on Tuesday. Chapter 14 test will be
on Friday. An extra credit assignment was given in class on alternate energy
sources that will be due on Friday.
Tuesday - November 15th - Students will read Chapter 14, Section 2, pgs. 479-
483 and will complete WB pgs. 188-190 in class. Chapter 14 test is on Friday.
Wednesday - November 16th - Students will read Chapter 14, Section 3, pgs.
486-490 and will complete WB pgs. 191-194 in class. Chapter 14 test is on
Friday. Students will begin a study guide for Chapter 14 in class and will
finish for homework.
Thursday - November 17th - Students will read Chapter 14, Section 4, pgs. 491-
495 and will complete WB pgs. 195-198 in class. Chapter 14 test is on Friday.
Friday - November 18th - Students will be assessed on Chapter 14. Students
will turn in the study guide before taking the test for a grade. Students
will also turn in WB pgs. 185-198 as a packet.
Monday - November 28th - Students will read Chapter 15, Section 1.
Tuesday - November 29th - Students will read Chapter 15, Section 2.
Wednesday - November 30th - Students will read Chapter 15, Section 3.
Thursday - December 1st - Students will create a template for a powerpoint
that will be made in the somputer lab on Friday.
Friday - December 2nd - Students will create a powerpoint covering Chapters
15 & 16.
Monday - December 5th - Students will continue working on their powerpoint.
Tuesday - December 6th - Students will finish their powerpoint.
Wednesday - December 7th -Students will present their powerpoint.
Thursday - December 8th - Students will complete a study guide for Chapter 15.
Friday - December 9th - Students will be assessed on Chapter 15.
Monday - December 12th - Students will learn about the human ears and eyes
and learn how they are related to waves.
Tuesday - December 13th - Students will take a quiz on the parts of the ears
and the eyes and their functions.
Wednesday - December 14th - Students will bring in their supplies for the
musical instrument project and presentation of a song that is due by Friday.
Thursday - December 15th - Students will bring in their supplies for the
musical instrument project and presentation of a song that is due by Friday.
Friday - December 16th - Students will bring in their supplies for the
musical instrument project and the presentation will start on Friday and will
continue on Monday and Tuesday.
