Thursday - September 1st - Students will read Chapter 3, Section 1 & complete WB pgs. 35-37.

Friday - September 2nd - Students will read Chapteer 3, Section 2 & complete WB pgs. 38-40. Over the holiday weekend, it would be a great time for students to get ahead & complete their vocabulary for Chapter 4. Students can also work ahead in their WB. Chapter 3 ends on pg. 47.

Tuesday - September 6th - Students will complete WB pgs. 41-43 in class if time allows. If not, then students will complete pgs. 41-47 for homework. Test on Chapter 3 will be on Wednesday.

Wednesday - September 7th - Students will complete vocabulary for Chapter 4.

Thursday - September 8th - Students will complete WB pgs. 49-51.

Friday - September 9th - Students will complete WB pgs. 52-56. Students that want to work ahead can complete WB pgs. 55-67. Students don't have to complete all of the pages at once, but may want to stay ahead of the teacher and the lessons being taught. It makes reading comprehension easier if the student reads ahead over the weekend.

Monday - September 12th - Students will complete WB pgs. 55-58 and study for the Chapter 4 test on Tuesday.

Tuesday - September 13th - Students will complete WB pgs. 59-62 and study for the Chapter 4 test on Tuesday.

Wednesday - September 14th - Students will complete WB pgs. 63-66 and study for the Chapter 4 test on Tuesday.

Thursday - September 15th - Students will complete WB pg. 67 and study for the Chapter 4 test on Tuesday.

Friday - September 16th - No homework asigned, but students may want to work ahead. The next chapter will be Chapter 9 on Motion. Students should study for the test on Chapter 4 which will be given Tuesday, September 20th.

Monday - September 19th - Students will review Chapter 4 for tomorrow's test.

Tuesday - September 20th - Students will be assessed in class for the Chapter 4 test. Students will complete defining the Chapter 9 vocabulary words.

Wednesday - September 21st - Students will complete WB pgs. 127-129. Students will have a test on Chapter 9 on Monday, Sept. 26th.

Thursday - September 22nd - Students will complete WB pgs. 130-132. Students will have a test on Chapter 9 on Monday, Sept. 26th.

Friday - September 23rd - Students will complete WB pgs 133-136. Students will have a test on Chapter 9 on Monday, Sept. 26th.

Monday - September 26th - Students will complete Chapter 10 vocabulary. Students will complete WB pgs. 137-138. 1 liter bottles need to be turned in by Wednesday. Test on Chapter 10 early next week.

Tuesday - September 27th - Students will complete WB pgs. 139-142. 1 liter bottles need to be turned in by Wednesday. Test on Chapter 10 early next week.

Wednesday - September 28th - Students will complete WB pg. 143-144. Chapter 10 test will be early next week.

Thursday - September 29th - Students will complete WB pgs. 145-146. Chapter 10 test will be early next week.

Friday - September 30th - Students will complete WB pgs. 147-149. WB pg 149 can be turned in early for extra credit. Chapter 10 test will be early next week.

Monday - October 3rd - Students will study the study guide that was given to them to complete over the weekend. Students will be tested on Tuesday and it is important for students to take this seriously because this test is a major portion of their final grade.

Tuesday - October 4th - Student will be assessed in class on Chapters 9 & 10. Students will begin the vocabulary for Chapter 11.

Wednesday - October 5th - Students will complete WB pgs 151-153.

Thursday - October 6th - Students will complete WB pgs. 154-156.

Friday - October 7th - Students will complete WB pgs 157-158.

Monday - October 10th - WB pgs. 151-162 due as a packet on Wednesday.

Tuesday - October 11th - WB pgs. 151-162 due as a packet on Wednesday.

Wednesday - October 12th - No homework, but can work ahead on WB pgs. 163-174.

Thursday - October 13th - No homework, but can work ahead on WB pgs. 163-174.

Friday - October 14th - No homework, but can work ahead on WB pgs. 163-174.

Monday - October 17th - Students will complete WB pgs. 163-165. Chapter 11 test will be on Monday or Tuesday.

Tuesday - October 18th - Students will complete WB pgs. 166-168. Chapter 11 test will be on Monday or Tuesday.

Wednesday - October 19th - Students will complete WB pgs. 169-172. Chapter 11 test will be on Monday or Tuesday.

Thursday - October 20th- Students will complete WB pgs. 173-174. Chapter 11 test will be on Monday or Tuesday. Students will turn in the WB pgs. 163-174 in class on Monday as a packet. Students might have a test Monday or on Tuesday.

Friday - October 21st - No school - furlough day

Monday - October 24th - Students will turn in WB pgs. 163-174 on Monday as a packet. Students will need to study for tomorrow's test on Chapter 11.

Tuesday - October 25th - Students will begin vocabulary words on Chapter 12 in class and finish for homework to be turned in on Wednesday. Chapter 12 test will be on next Tuesday.

Wednesday - October 26th - Students will complete WB pgs. 175-176. Chapter 12 test will be on Tuesday.

Thursday - October 27th - Students will complete WB pgs. 177-178. Students will need to complete the section on pg 177 that deals with the different types of energy. Chapter 12 test will be on Tuesday.

Friday - October 28th - Students will complete WB pgs. 179-181. Students that want to work ahead can finish WB pgs. 182-184. All WB pgs. 175-184 will be turned in as a packet on Tuesday before the test on Chapter 12.

Monday - October 31st - Students will complete WB pgs. 182-184 and will turn in all of the pages from 175-184 as a packet on Tuesday. Chapter 12 test has been moved to Friday.

Tuesday - November 1st - Students will complete TB pg. 437, questions 1-10. (Questions 1-25 will be turned in together on Friday). Chapter 12 test is on Friday. Questions 1-25 can be turned in early as a packet for extra credit.

Wednesday - November 2nd - Students will complete TB pg. 438, questions 11-19. (Questions 1-25 will be turned in together on Friday). Chapter 12 test is on Friday. Questions 1-25 can be turned in early as a packet for extra credit.

Thursday - November 3rd - Students will complete TB pg. 438, questions 20-25. (Questions 1-25 will be turned in together on Friday). Chapter 12 test is on Friday. Questions 1-25 can be turned in early as a packet for extra credit.

Friday - November 5th - Students will begin writing sentences using the vocabulary words. Sentences should make the reader understand the vocabulary word. Sentences should look like an 8th grader wrote it and not a 4th grader. Students should skip lines for each new sentence. Students may use the words to create an innovative story. Stories can earn the writer bonus points. Students will need to highlight the vocabulary words. Sentences are due on Tuesday.

Monday - November 14th - Students will write sentences using the vocabulary words from Chapter 14 found on pg. 472B. Chapter 14 test is on Friday. Extra credit assignment was given to the student to be turned in by Friday.

Tuesday - November 15th - Students were given WB pgs. 188-190 to complete in class and to finish at home, if they were not complete.

Wednesday - November 16th - Students will complete WB pgs. 191-194, if not completed in class. Students will also complete the Chapter 14 study guide that they started in class.

Thursday - November 17th - Students will complete WB pgs. 195-198, if not completed in class. Students will study for Chapter 14 test on Friday.

Friday - No homework over the holidays, unless your student is an IB student. Just a reminder for IB students - Science Fair Projects are due on Dec. 5th. The deadline is quickly approaching. Do NOT PROCASTINATE!!! Science Fair Projects are 25% of the 2nd nine weeks grade.

Monday - November 28th - Students will write sentences using the vocabulary words from sections 1 & 2 and will turn it in on Wednesday. Chapter 15 test will be in the middle of next week.

Wednesday - November 30th - No homework, but students should be looking on the internet for homemade musical instruments. Chapter 15 test will be in the middle of the week. IB students will need to turn in science fair projects on Monday.

Thursday - December 1st - No homework, but students should be looking on the internet for homemade musical instruments. Chapter 15 test will be in the middle of the week. IB students will need to turn in science fair projects on Monday.

Friday - December 2nd - No homework, but students should be looking on the internet for homemade musical instruments. Chapter 15 test will be in the middle of next week. IB students will need to turn in science fair projects on Monday.

Monday - December 5th - Students will need to complete their powerpoint.

Tuesday - December 6th - Students will need to complete their powerpoint.

Thursday - December 8th - Students will need to study the study guide for tomorrow's test.

Friday - December 9th - No homework, but students can begin working on their musical instrument.

Monday - December 12th - Students must learn about the human ear and eye. Students will be quizzed on the different parts on Tuesday.

Tuesday - December 13th - Students must bring in their supplies for their musical instruments.

Wednesday - December 14th - Students must have musical insruments completed by Thursday and ready for presentations starting on Friday.

Thursday - December 15th - Students must have musical instrument completed and ready for presentations.

Friday - December 16th - Students must present all musical presentations.

Monday - December 19th - Students must present all musical presentations.

Tuesday - December 20th - No homework for the holidays.
