The Sarah Smith Education Foundation is a not-for-profit fundraising 

organization supporting our school's pursuit of excellence in education. The 

funds raised enrich the learning environment available to every classroom and 

every child at Sarah Smith Elementary. The generosity of our supporters allows 

us to offer a curriculum not available at any other public elementary school in 

Atlanta. 





The Sarah Smith Education Foundation has directly supported the French program

and my professional development in the following ways:

• Purchasing consumable French workbooks for students in grades 2-5
• Generously funding professional development opportunities
• Level 3 Language B IB training in Cincinnati, OH
• annual FLAG/SCOLT foreign language conferences
• Advanced Classroom Management workshop
  
• Approval of mini-grant to purchase French language resources during summer travels to Quebec
• Providing classroom subsidies to purchase materials that further enhance classroom learning
