Students will have homework Monday-Thursday.
That will include:
*20-30 minutes of reading each night: That includes reading independently,
reading together, or reading to your parents.
*Math Homework: A Sheet will be given each night that is a review of what we
are learning in class. We will also take math fact (i.e. addition,
subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.) timed quizzes each Friday.
Parents, please read the newsletters sent home each month to keep up with the
math unit we are learning.
*Language Arts / Spelling Homework: The students will have Language
Arts/Grammar/Reading homework most nights that review what we are learning in
class. A spelling will be written in our agendas each Monday, and a spelling
test will be given each Friday.
*Each week your child will have an assignment to go with a TFK (Time For
Kids) magazine.
*Approximately each month a book report will assigned.
*It is the child's responsibility to write his/her homework in their agenda
daily which we will do together every afternoon.
*I suggest the student works independently first, then the parent should
check homework and help with corrections.
*I keep track of homework that is returned to me, and this will be added into
their grades.
*Please remember to sign your child's planner/agenda each night. This will
let me know that you reviewed it with your child and were aware of their
homework assignment(s).
