This will be my sixth year at Sarah Smith. Time flies when you're teaching
fun!
I moved to Atlanta in the summer of 2006 from South Florida, where I spent
most of my childhood. I was fortunate enough to attend an IB high school and
when I saw that Sarah Smith was receiving their certification, I knew it was
the perfect match for me. I began my studies at the University of Florida(GO
GATORS!!) and received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic
University (GO OWLS!). This summer, I completed a Master's in Educational
Psychology of the Gifted and Talented at the University of Connecticut. (GO
HUSKIES!)
I enjoy live music, cooking, and playing tennis. During college football and
basketball seasons, you will often hear me speaking about the Florida
Gators. If you are a UGA fan, please accept my apologies ahead of time. I
love sushi and all types of seafood. I enjoy going to parks with Layla, my
beagle/corgi mix. She is a true angel in my life.
I expect 100% from all of my students, everyday. This enables the children
to exceed expectations and become outstanding IB students. I promise to give
100% as a facilitator of the learning process.
