This month we have lots of extra curricular activities: Dental Health Month,
National Heart Month, President, African American Month and Valentine Day.
The kids and I would love extra seasonal/holiday decoration for the
classroom, which would enhance their education.
The Valentine Party will be on the 14th. The kids can bring in their
valentine cards before the 14th. It will make it easier on everyone if they
do.
We are writing more and more. You might see some coding with the words. Let
your child explain the coding to you.
• Words with short and long vowel
• Words with silent ‘e’ with the first vowel long
• Two vowels together , first one talks and the second one walks
• Consonant-vowel (accent vowel)
The writing can be another reading activity. Proof reading is great Remind
them to start each sentence with a capital letter and end the sentence with
some kind of punctuation.
Spelling test are going great
In Math, we are still adding and subtracting, counting by fives and twos.
We are having a hard time with value of the coins. Please practice

15th - a dentist is coming
29th - The Tie Dye Guy
No School on the 17th and 20th
We could use some gold fish food and bunny food.
