Homework

Students will have homework Monday-Thursday (and sometimes Friday).
That will include:
*20 minutes of reading each night: That includes reading independently,
reading together, or reading to your parents.
*Math homework: Parents, please read the purple family math letters sent
home at the beginning of every unit to understand the unit they are studying.
*Spelling homework: The students will have spelling homework most nights
that comply with their spelling words.
*LA/Reading homework: This could include vocabulary sheets or whatever
reading/LA skill we are working on (or just something the class needs practice
on!)

Spelling is generally decided by the day of the week as follows:
Monday-Write each spelling word 3x
Tuesday-Rainbow Spelling
Wednesday-Use each spelling word in a sentence
Thursday-Put spelling words in ABC order

It is the child's responsibility to write his/her homework in their agenda
daily.

I suggest the student works independently first, then the parent should
check homework and help with corrections.
