     What is a Student Support Team?

The SST is a committee of three or more educators who plan and implement 
alternative strategies in regular education for a student experiencing 
educational problems.  
SSTs are mandated by the Georgia Department of Education as a result of a 
legal decision (Ollie Marshall case, 11 cir, 1984) and are a stated standard 
requirement.
