The following objectives will be discussed during the next three weeks of school:
Language Arts- utilizing the editing checklist, nouns, proper nouns, contractions, subject-verb agreement, fluency, comprehension, writing on topic, possessives
Math- math message routine, review telling temperature, tell temperature to the nearest two degrees, practice measuring objects with standard and non-standard units, introduce the inch, centimeter, foot and yard, practice using a tape measure, estimation, measuring height, review bar graphs, review telling time to the hour and half-hour, investigate timelines, introduce scrolls to 100 and beyond, and introduce addition facts and fact power
Math Games- Domino Top-It, Coin-Dice, Time Match, D-N-P Grab, High Roller, Shaker Addition Top-It, Penny Plate
Social Studies/Science- Plants and Animals, Weather
Art, Music, PE and Guidance/Health will also be integrated into the above subject areas on a daily basis.
