May I make-up work during lunch, class, or another block?

Students should arrange to make-up work with the teacher before or after
school only. The teacher is not available for make-up work during lunch,
your Economics class, or another block.

I came by Room 201 to see a teacher, but no one was there. What should I do?

WAIT by the door to room 201 until a teacher arrives or you must leave to go
to class. Teachers have many errands to run before and after school so Mrs.
Jacobson or Ms. Caton will not always be in the room. If you need to see
one of us, wait. We will be back momentarily.

Must I bring my textbook to class everyday?

YES. We may not use the textbook everyday. However, you are expected to
always have it with you in class so it is available when you need it.

May I cover my textbook with the cover of my choice?

We have found that the covers we make in class are more durable and better
for the books in the long run. Therefore, you will make a cover in class
with the material provided and put it on your textbook. However, you may
place a cover of your choice over the one we make in class.

What's my grade?

Information sheets will be sent home at the beginning of each semester
requesting student and parent email addresses. An updated progress report
will be emailed to those addresses provided each Friday by 6pm EST. If you
do not receive an emailed progress report by 6pm on Fridays, please, email
the appropriate teacher (Mrs. Jacobson - ajacobson@mcsdga.net or Ms. Caton -
rcaton@mcsdga.net) with your correct email address.

If you do not have email capability, students should pick up a progress
report form from the Guidance Office each Friday before 7:30am and bring it
to class for the teacher to complete.

I was absent, what did I miss?

A calendar for each unit is maintained on the course website, so students
should be aware of what they missed. It is the students' responsibility to
make arrangements with the teacher outside of class to meet with her before
or after school to complete make-up work. Excused and Administrative
Absences have 3 school days upon their return to complete daily make-up
work. Long term assignments are to be turned in on their due date without
exception regardless of the type of absence. All unexcused absences receive
a zero for missed work.

I have In School Suspension (ISS). Will you get me out to attend class?

While in ISS, you may only attend class on test or lab days. Quizzes do not
count as tests, and you are expected to make-up missed quizzes within 3
school days (including the days in ISS) before or after school. Otherwise,
you will receive a zero on those quizzes. All work assigned during ISS is
to be turned into the ISS Instructor before leaving. The ISS Instructor
will place it in the teacher's mailbox.

Why are there 2 different calendars and handouts for Economics?

Regular and Honors Economics are taught on the block schedule for one
semester only. However, the honors class may have different assignments.
