You are the Chef and owner of a restaurant serving dishes from all over the world. Most of your customers only speak Spanish. You will create a menu in Spanish. As a minimum, your menu must include the following:

1. A choice of several appetizers.

2. Several entrees and specialties.

3. A selection of desserts.

4. Various drinks.

Your project must have a professional appearance and every item must be priced accordingly.

Presentation of the project (how professional/ neat it looks) 30%

Name of the restaurant (including address and telephone number) 10%

Choice of appetizers (including spelling and prices) 15%

Choice of entrees (Main course meals including proper spelling and prices) 20%

Desserts (including spelling and prices) 15%

Drinks (including spelling and prices) 10%

I will provide several samples of projects from previous classes to give you an idea and get you started. You may use any resource you consider necessary to accomplish this task. Use your imagination and have fun with this project. Expand your mind and challenge yourself. You will find that you like the challenge and that you can actually do it.

Watch a Spanish Television Program or listen to a Spanish Radio Station. While you're watching (or listening) listen for known words. Make a list of these words and put them in a sentence (if possible).
Then, e-mail this list to me or print it and bring it to school. Please specify the name of the program (or the kind of program, such as news, comedy, soap opera, movie, etc.) If you prefer reading, please read a book, magazine, or article in Spanish. Look for known words. Make a list of these words and put them in a sentence. E-mail it to me at myspanishteacher@bellsouth.net or print it and bring it to school. Please specify the name of the book, magazine, article, and the topic.

NOTE: There are a few Spanish channels in the area. If your cable provider is:

There's a local Cultural, non-profit Spanish Radio Station in Columbus, Georgia. It's called "Radio Tropical 88.5 FM"
