I am thrilled to be the principal of a school community as wonderful as
St. Thomas More! It is truly a blessing. Three of my four children
attended St. Thomas More. I began teaching at STM in 1994 where I taught
5th grade for three years and then moved into the middle school where I
taught 6th grade religion and 8th grade language arts. I was an 8th grade
homeroom teacher for 9 years before moving into the role of assistant
principal for the 2006-2007 school year. Now I have the pleasure to lead a
team of dedicated, professional, nurturing, faith-filled people who make up
the faculty and staff of this fine school.
I have lived in Atlanta for almost 27 years. My husband and I have
four children: three daughters, 28,26,18 and one son, 22. We are all in the
Atlanta metro area and we spend a lot of time together. Our youngest
daughter is attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC this fall.
She is the first of our children to really venture very far from home, and
I'm not sure about the "empty-nest" thing, but God, in His wisdom, has given
me 465 other children to dote on.
I am enjoying my role as principal at St. Thomas More and God sends
many blessings my way each and every day. It is an honor to serve the STM
community - students, parents, faculty and staff - in this capacity, and for
that, I thank Him and you!
We strive to pass on the values and vision of our Catholic faith and
tradition to develop a mature Christian person who understands how to relate
to God and others, how to choose wisely, and how to learn.
