I am not a Toccoa native, but I feel so very welcomed and at home here now.
As a student, Spanish was always my "fun class," and I still have a great
passion for the language and related cultures.
These interests have taken me to Mexico (for graduate sociolinguistics
research) and to Costa Rica one summer. My degrees (MA and BA) come from
Florida State University, where I focussed in Hispanic Literature and
Linguistics.
Teaching is my beloved profession because I care for and would love to
inspire children. Certainly I could make big bucks behind a desk somewhere,
and I know that fun around the world easily awaits me. Still, I follow my
heart and happily come to work each day at SCHS to work with my students,
parents, colleagues and administrators. I would love to help you in any way
I can!
Communication, communication, communication! I want my students to function
in the target language and to be able to interact globally thereby enhancing
their choices in this world and hopefully making it a better, more peaceful
place.
