The 2011 - 2012 school year is my 18th year teaching (my 10th at
Vaughan). I have 4 years experience teaching kindergarten, 11 in 1st grade,
and 2 in 2nd grade! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to add a new
experience in 3rd grade this year!
I have a Specialist's degree in Early Childhood Education (B.S.-
Kennesaw; M.Ed.- Georgia State; Ed.S.- University of West Georgia), TSS
endorsement (for having student teachers and mentoring new teachers), and my
Gifted Student certification.
I enjoy reading, swimming, and riding roller coasters! Universal Studios in
Orlando is one of my favorite places and so is the beach. We have traveled a
little (Paris, San Francisco, Boston, New York, ...), but still have many
more places we would like to visit (England, Scotland, Hawaii, ...)!
My daughter, Alison, is in 3rd grade this year. I am also one of the
leaders of her Girl Scout troop.
I have spent most of my life in Cobb County, (yes, an actual Georgia native).

will enjoy learning a lot from YOU!
We will hit the ground running this fall in math, writing, and reading
comprehension.
Science and Social Studies will be another great addition that will have its
own time for research and discovery.
