What should I do if I need to contact my child during the school day?
Call the front office (770-667-2940). One of the nice ladies in the front office can take a
message, retrieve transporation messages, hold a lunch, hold papers, etc. Your child's name will
then be put on a message board outside of the office. When your child passes by to/from lunch,
he/she will see it and enter the office to claim the item or message. If the message is not
retrieved, he/she will then be called over the intercom at the end of the school day to report to
the office for the message. Sorry, but I prefer that you not e-mail me personally for messages
(transportation issues) because I may not see the e-mail in time.
What should I do if I need to check my child out of school early?
Early Dismissal Procedures
If a student needs to leave school before normal dismissal time, a note from the parent or
guardian requesting early dismissal must be sent to the office on the morning of the requested
early dismissal. The student will be dismissed from class to come to the office at the time
indicated on the note. Parents or guardians must come to the office to sign out their children.
Your cooperation with this procedure is requested as it minimizes interruptions to instruction. Of
course, in an emergency, a parent may come directly to the office to request that a student be
dismissed early.

What is the policy for absence excuse notes?
Parents, if your child is absent, please make sure that you write an absence excuse note complete
with the words, "Please excuse...", the full name of the student, the dates the student was out, and
the reason for the absence within 3 days of the return to school. Thanks!
