Program. There is an opportunity each academic year for one
sophomore to attend a state conference with the added possibility
of attending the world conference. Tenth graders who wish to be
considered complete a written application that is usually
distributed in October.

This is the official website for the Georgia Governor's Honors
Program which takes place at Valdosta State University. WCHS
students must be nominated by a teacher and then complete a
written application as well as a formal interview. Some
curriculum areas also require an audition.

This is the home of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic
Association). Students who are interested in participating in

ASVAB Program - This is the website for the Armed Services
Vocational Aptitude Battery. The ASVAB is administered to
interested 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. It is a useful tool in
helping students determine strengths and weaknesses regarding
future educational and/or employment concerns. It can be helpful
to those who are and are not interested in a military career.

This is the official site of abstinence educator and motivational
speaker Pam Stenzel. Mrs. Stenzel visited Ware County in February
2007. Those who heard her will never forget her words of insight
and wisdom. She changed lives for the better for many. She should
be mandatory for all teenagers and parents of teenagers. Check

Joe Brasfield and the entire staff of WCHS are excited to be
designated a "Work Ready Community". This program is open to all
residents of Ware County. The school's current focus
is on all 12th grade students. Interested individuals may take a
test (ACT WorkKeys) administered by Okefenokee Technical College
that will prove to potential employers that they have the
knowledge and skills needed to be successful in the workplace.
This certificate will make holders more attractive to employers
and bring new work opportunities to Ware County. The test is free
to all Ware County citizens (12th grade and non-students).
