About The Teacher

I have been teaching kindergarten for 23 years.  I taught 11 years at 
Muscogee Elementary, one year at River Road Elementary and now I am here  
at Britt David Magnet Academy.  I love seeing the expression on 
children's faces when they have learned something new.  

I have a terrific husband, Tony and two wonderful children.  Allen is a 
Junior at Northside High and Adrienne is in 7th grade at Blackmon Road Middle.

I enjoy reading all kinds of books especially historical fiction. I also 
enjoy swimming, hiking, riding bicycles and traveling. 

I have a Bachelor of Science from Columbus College, a Masters and 
Specialist degree in Elementary Education from Troy State.

Mission For The Class

To help the children develop a love of learning and to see themselves as 
wonderful, unique individuals that can help each other learn and grow.

I believe that children (especially ages 5-6) want to learn about our world 
and want to feel safe and secure in it.

I believe that the education of our children is the key to help our world 
become a better, more productive and peaceful place to live.

I believe in the saying of "the more we learn, the more we know, the more we 
know, the more we grow".  We are never to old to stop learning.
