rules to create and maintain a harmonious classroom.

*Your child's behavior is recorded in a Behavior

Kindergarten
Curriculum
A successful classroom is one that is filled
with love, laughter, and learning! The following is our class mission
statement, goals/incentives used, Georgia Performance Standards link, and the
Kindergarten curriculum.
Mission
for our class:
I believe that all children can learn, if
given the right tools. Our classroom will strive to be a place where all
children will have the opportunity to show their individual strengths and
build upon their unique differences. I believe that education and learning
should be fun, exciting, and challenging. If young children develop a love for
learning at an early age, that love will continue to grow as they do. Through
the use of projects, hands-on activities, technology, and cooperative learning
I will do my part to encourage and motivate each child to achieve at their
highest level and develop into life-long learners. I know that education is a
partnership between home, school, and community. Through working together, we
can make Kindergarten an enjoyable and challenging experience.
Goals
And Incentives Used:
|
1. Project Alphabet: The student
can
identify 26 letters of the alphabet
(ELAKR3-c)
|
3. Sight Word Incentive:
The student can read 30+ words
in one minute (ELAKR4-a)
|
|
2. Accelerated Reading Program:
The students have met the above goals
and begins the AR program
(ELAKR4-a,b,c)
|
4. Personal Goals: Each student
will choose a personal goal they
would like to meet by the end of
the school year and they write it
down in their Student Portfolio
|
Georgia
Performance Standards: The state of Georgia has Standards by which
teachers gear their lessons. Below are links to the Georgia Department Of
Education Standards listings.
