Meet Mrs. Dominy

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Welcome to my "Kindergarten World". Below are a few things about me. I hope you enjoy!

Personal

Hello! My name is Rhonda Dominy and I am a kindergarten teacher at Eagle Ridge Elementary School. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was very young. Playing school with baby dolls and wanting to be the teacher's pet were my prerequisites to education. As a young girl, I would often be found teaching all of my dolls and stuffed animals how to sit still and pay attention to the teacher.

I have two very active and wonderful boys named Ethan (6) and Hudson (2). Ethan is a First grader at Eagle Ridge and a great T-ball player. Hudson is beginning the Little Caterpillar Day School in August. I hope they are ready for him! Below you will see a small slide show of all the things that mean the most to me!

Mission Statement

I believe that all children can learn, if given the right tools. Our classroom will strive to be a place where all children will have the opportunity to show their individual strengths and build upon their unique differences. I believe that education and learning should be fun, exciting, and challenging. If young children develop a love for learning at an early age, that love will continue to grow as they do. Through the use of projects, hands-on activities, technology, and cooperative learning I will do my part to encourage and motivate each child to achieve at their highest level and develop into life-long learners. I know that education is a partnership between home, school, and community. Through working together, we can make Kindergarten an enjoyable and challenging experience.
