NewsFlash

May 25, 2012

Dear Parents,

This is the last newsflash of the year.  I want to start it with  huge THANK YOU  from Mrs. Williams and myself for the wonderful end of the year gifts.  The herb basket was beautiful and the gift cards and money were so generous.  I also want to thank Ginger (Grant's mom) and the other moms that came in on Wed. for our pizza movie party and for the cookie cake on Thursday (it was way too yummy). Mostly I want to thank all your children for the hard work they did this year and the sweet hugs I got when they left Thursday.  Words cannot describe how much I will miss them next year.

Of course I do have to give you all some homework :).  Please have your child read over the summer.  Your child worked so hard to improve in reading this year and they will lose up to two levels if they don't read at all this summer.  They also need to review their math facts about once a week.  I can almost promise you that the fifth grade teachers will be given a fact test the first day or two of school next year.  They can review them on the computer, with flashcards, playing multiplication war, and there is even an I Phone app.  If you need any resources you can send me an e mail.  I usually check my work email on Sunday nights.

I wish all of you a relaxing and fun summer.  Wear those kids out so they are ready to learn in the fall.

Respectfully,
Kim Clark
