Dear parents and students,

Before summer gets into full swing, I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you. All sorts of treats, surprises, and little treasures have been finding their way to me ever since my birthday. On Wednesday, Mrs. Hurst presented a beautiful Hydrangea plant blooming with gift certificates to me from the class. What a perfect way to kick-start the Memorial Day weekend. I’ve enjoyed a Coolatta from Dunkin Donuts, dinner at Marlow’s Tavern, saw a great movie, (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), went shoe shopping, filled my gas tank, and even did some damage at The DeKalb Arts Festival. All of this compliments of my class, and I’ve only just begun to enjoy my many gifts. As you can tell, my summer is off to a great start, and I can’t thank you enough for your generosity. I have really enjoyed working with such a great group of students this year and getting to know their wonderful families as well.

Thank you again and have a fantastic summer,

Mrs. Pernaci

Hi Parents,
Just wanted you to know that student workbooks went home today. These books were only partially completed, and the remaining pages would provide an excellent review for the summer, especially the grammar.
Have a good afternoon,
Mrs. Pernaci

Morning parents,
Before I forget, some information about Valentine's Day...

Students may decorate Valentine boxes or bags at home and bring to school on Valentine's Day. They are also asked to include everyone in our class when  handing out cards. I have included our recent class list on this Webpage. We will take some time in the afternoon to exchange cards, no party is allowed, however if someone would like to send in cookies or a treat for the class that would be OK. Just let know.
Have a great day,
Mrs. Pernaci

Hi Parents,
Just wanted everyone to know that we are participating in the Six Flags Read to Succeed program. A parent letter and a student reading log was sent home today with all the information. Students are reading daily, so tracking it for the contest should not be a problem.
Any questions just let me know,
Mrs. Pernaci

Dear Parents,
The School Improvement Parent Surveys were sent home today in the Take Home Folders. Please do not fold these, do not write student names on them, and complete them by February 10th. There is a collection box near the front office.
Thanks for your help,
Mrs. Pernaci

Hooray! We made it through the first day, and what a great group of 4th graders I have this year. Everything went very smoothly with all students arriving on time, with a plan for lunch and for their transportation home. I have added a homework page to my Site, and unfortunately their is homework for parents. Sorry, this doesn't happen very often.
