I grew up on beautiful Cape Cod, MA. Every summer, my children and I spend
a few weeks there visiting our family and friends. We especially enjoy
sailing, relaxing at the beach, and touring the many historical sites in
Boston. We also love the local, fresh seafood and the homemade ice cream
that's only available during the summer. It's wicked good!
I have a BA in Communication from NC State University and a Master’s Plus 30
in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of South
Carolina. I ran cross-county and track for the Wolfpack and coached the
Gamecocks.
This is my 11th year teaching in Cobb County. I have taught 3rd, 5th, and
8th grade and have enjoyed them all.
My husband and I enjoy traveling and working with kids academically and
athletically. We have two children. Hannah is in 5th grade here at East
Side, and Jay is in 7th grade at Dodgen.
In my free time, I enjoy books (collecting & reading), music, and movies. I
also love to run, bike, ski, and play basketball.
I hope to inspire students to be excited about learning and to always do
their best.
