6th Grade Homework
2/13/12 Progress reports went home. Students were assigned an Indian Poster Project due March 19th. Please see paper given to students. American Indian Poster Project Your assignment is to research an American Indian Tribe. Create a poster project depicting your research. Your poster should be a standard size poster (Approximately 28”x22”) in the color of your choice. Posters can be purchased at Longs, Walmart, Kmart, or Office Depot. Your poster should have: A title of your Indian tribe in the middle top of the poster. (You pick the font.) At least five pictures such as: the people, their homes, type of clothing, food, art, territory, etc. You may have more than five pictures. *Color pictures are great but black and white pictures are acceptable.

least 400 words researching such things as where your Indian tribe was located
– North America, Remember to do proper research. Don’t plagiarize. Take notes; sum up your notes in your own words. Site your sources somewhere on your poster. Please use proper spelling and grammar. Put your information on index cards under pertinent pictures. Glue index cards and pictures to the poster. Arrange them neatly. Put your name at the bottom right hand corner. Please put your grade level, also. You will be graded on neatness, how well you followed directions, creativity, and content. You may add things to make your poster more attractive like stickers, glitter, etc. Have fun with it! Do your own work! Learn about American Indians! Part of your project will be to present your poster to the class. This project counts as a test grade in history. |
