The essential question: "How do the principles of physics affect my daily life?"
Monday, November 30
We went over the graphing practice homework worksheet in class. We discussed: 1. equations--substituting the x and y variable with the variables from the data; 2. labeling the graph with an appropriate title, variable and units on each axis; 3. plotting points from a given data set, where x is on the horizontal axis and y is on the vertical axis and that data is given in its ordered pairs. After the discussion, students then got into their lab one groups to continue with the circle lab. All students need a lab notebook for the course and are to bring it to class daily.
Tuesday, December 1
Today was a professional day. Students took a quiz on grahing. Then they worked in lab groups to finish collecting their data in class. After collecting data, students worked independently on the graph and analysis of the data. The unit 1 reveiw was given to students before they left class.
Wednesday, December 2
The quiz was returned and reviewed. Students then got into lab groups to whiteboard specific problems from the unit review. Questions about the review were answered. Students are to use the unit review, the returned quiz, the significant digits worksheet and the graphical methods summary as notes to study for the unit exam tomorrow. The unit review will be collected before the unit test. Everyone must bring their notebooks to class tomorrow to complete the circle lab.
