I have been teaching for well over 40 years and began teaching at Maryknoll
High School in 1971. Before coming to Maryknoll, I taught in Wayland,
Massachusetts in an experimental Reading Program designed by Harvard
University. However, I began my teaching career as a Sister of Mercy,in
California, where I taught in San Francisco, Burlingame, and Imperial Beach.
I have three grown children, and three grandchildren. I am a firm believer
in a healthy life-style and love to swim and to travel. I enjoy Hawaiian
music and dance and Yes... i really enjoy teaching.
Writing for College is a very structured class and the goal of the class is
to prepare students for college writing. The major emphasis is to improve
critical thinking and writing skills through analytical reading and writing.
The students will complete a major research paper following the MLA form and
will begin to write their college essays.
