All students in the Beginning Band should be practicing the songs and exercises on pages 10, 11 and 13 of the Essential Elements 2000 book, #38 “Jingle Bells” and First Christmas March. Trumpet and trombone players should regularly practice “Lip Slurs 1” and “Lip Slurs 2”. The clarinet players should regularly practice the first portion of the “Warmups for Clarinet”. The percussionists should regularly practice playing flams and flam taps. Flute players should regularly practice “Lip Slurs for Flutes”.
