Please check your child's folder every day - that's where assignments and my
notes/letters will be.
Show and Tell will be on Mondays and Wednesdays for Boys and Tuesdays and
Thursdays for Girls.
Please remind your child the night before to think of something to bring
along or about something special that happened to tell about. I'm hoping
each child will participate often. Toys may be brought for sharing during
Show and Tell and "playtime" every day of the week. Small toys may be come a
problem: they are easily lost and mised up. Fragile items can be kept on a
shelf. Be sure your child's name is on toys. Some weeks will have special
Show and Tell items. I'll let you know.
Everyone is reading in a first grade, old, old basal
reader. The reader will be sent home every day with the pages listed to
review. Also a homework paper or workbook paper will be assigned daily -
later on there will be two sides to do. I encourage participation in
Pizza Hut's Book It program. Also everyone should have a Book in the Bag - a
supplementary, extra reader to read, have a parent sign the note and then
return for the next book.
A Question-Answer binder will be sent home with one child every school day.
When it is your child's turn, he/she is to pick a question and be the teacher
giving the answer/explanation. Please help your child with this.
