MRS. GUNDERMANN'S TOP 10 NEWS ITEMS - FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER, 2012!

1.  We continue to read, do math, and spelling in our first grade books. We continue to write and will be intnroduced to the value of coins.

2.  We will culminate Lent with lots of joyous Easter songs and Easter activities.

3.  We will present our musical cantata with the first and second graders: "A Great, Big, Glorious, Marvelous, Wonderful World!"

4.  We will be part of St. Mark's Lei Day program: singing with the first and second graders and te boys doing a hula (dressed as paniolos) and the girls will do a hula with their baby dollies.  We'll also celebrate Boys' Day and numerous birthdays.

5.  Wheel Week will be back by popular request, along with ball handling skills ,  We'll be participating in "All School Games/Relays Day."  We will be teamed with our chapel partner.

6.  We will have fun with a dinosaur study, finish our "Body" unit, and talk about moon phases.

7.  The Royal Hawaiian Band will present a concert at St. Mark and we will sing "We Belong" while they accompany us.

8.  Next year's Kindergartners will come to visit.  We will make them feel welcome and show them our classroom and playground.

9.  We will present our graduation opereta, "The Birthday Celebration," and have a cap and gown ceremony, the biggest night of the year for us.

10. The week after graduation, we will celebrate with a beach day and take one of our graduation lei to a Veteran's grave for Memorial Day and say A hui ho until first grade!
