in step one and do some

You can also look at the Career Interests Game on the Career Resource
Library Page.

Another website that you need to work on in the World of Work Map website.
It is easy to use and fun to look at and explore.

A third website that might be fun to look at is designed for middle
schoolers in Ohio but will still give you some necessary information for
your job search.

Once you have looked at the websites and taken notes on the career of your
choice, you need to write up a short report using the criteria set up in the
task section.

When you are sure you have found the job you would like to job shadow,
please work with your teacher to find a mentor who would be willing to work
with you for a half day experience that can be set up when it works for
everyone involved (mentor, teacher, student, and parent or other person
driving you to this job shadowing experience) during the week your teacher
decides upon.
The next set in the process would be to write a letter of introduction to
your mentor telling them a little bit about yourself, why you are interested
in this career, some things you would like to see or know about while you
are job shadowing, and thanking them for the opportunity to work with them.
Once your teacher approves it, send the letter off right away so the mentor
has time to prepare for the questions you have asked or arrange the tours,
etc. necessary. Be sure to include the school address and phone number so
your mentor can contact you if they have any questions. The next step is the
fun one!!! You get out of school for a half day to go job shadow your dream
job mentor!
After you return, you will be expected to present a short oral report to the
others in the group on what you did, how it went, what you liked and didn't
like, if you changed your mind about this career, and any other things you
want to share about your job shadowing. Hopefully you can include some
pictures.
As soon as possible after your job shadowing experience, you will need to
write a letter to your job shadow mentor telling them thank you for taking
time to work with you, telling them what you liked about your time together,
and anything else that you think is important.
After you have shown this to your teacher and gotten her/his approval, send
it off. Your teacher will fill out an evaluation on your work on this
project according to the requirements in the evaluation section of this
webquest and discuss it with you. You will also need to fill out your
evaluation on the unit when you are finished with your teacher conference.
