Language Arts:
Students will begin studying a selected list of prefixes and suffixes
for a quiz on Friday's in preparation for finals. Please encourage your
child to study throughout the week.
Our first round of IRP's, or Independent Reading Projects, are due January 11th. This will take the place of Reading Logs and is being be done in order to be more consistent with the other 8th grade Language Arts teams, as well as give the kids a chance to share their unique creative talents that were evident in their RAFT projects.
Please remind students to use their planners and try to read at least 20 minutes a day outside of class.
Algebra: The Dream Vacation Home project has been assigned. It will be due December 1. There are resources for students on Moodle. Also we will be testing over chapter 4 on Tuesday (11/24).
Pre-Algebra: Over the weekend students should be working on a mini-project. They will need ads and resources are available on Moodle. It will be due on Monday (11/23).
Infinite Campus is an excellent resource for academic information and we encourage parents and students to make periodic checks.
