About The EMT

Currently I am working on my Registered Nurse education. I have had
numerous experiences in the last 30 years working in the medical
profession. Upon completion of high school I worked 11 years at our
county hospital as a certified nursing assistant. Feeling the need
to increase my experience levels, I accepted a job at the
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a CNA. I worked at the
UIHC in GI surgery floor for 2 years and the Operating rooms for
8 years. Since 1986, I have also been a volunteer for our Keota
QRS service and take care of people while ambulance services from
Keokuk and or Washington respond. Upon successful completion of my
RN education I would like to continue to work for our Keota
Community School District and work in the Emergency Room.

I am married for 27 years to John Henderson. We have two sons,
Wes who is married and lives up by Dubuque (graduated in 1999 from
Keota High School), and his wife Kelly plus our two grandsons
Keegan and Kolin. Our son Ethan, graduated from Keota High School in
2009 and is currently attending Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant.
