Middle School Bible Syllabus
Course Description:
Students will start to become familiar with the book of Acts and what it really meant to be the early church. Along with Acts, we will be looking at what it means to BE the church today. They will also be receiving tools that will help them start the process of thinking critically about the test they are reading including context, culture, and meaning of God’s Word.
Methods:
We will be using Orality or Storytelling as a main method for learning for Bible. There will also be projects, written exercises, and hands-on experiences. I have links on my website if you would like to learn more about what Orality is and its history.

Assessment:
This class is largely a PARTICIPATION based class! There will be tests, occasional homework, and projects, but most of the grade will come from whether or not the student participates in class. There is a rubric that is attached to the back that can break down what is consider participation. For each day that you have an excused absent, there will be a standard assignment that you will need to complete to make up the participation points you would have received if you had been in class.
