American Government

11/19
Today in American Government we went over "Financing Federalism" 
and "Problems of Federalism."  Students have been assigned WB pgs. 39-40 to 
review federalism.  They had time in class to work on it today and they will 
be able to finish it up on Monday, Nov. 30.

11/18
Today in American Government students finished working on WB pg. 37-38 and 
turned it in.
For tomorrow students need to read pg. 152-156.

11/17
Today in American Government we went over Developments in Federalism.  For 
tomorrow students need to read pg. 150-152.
Reminder:  WB pg. 37-38 is due tomorrow.
11/16

Today in American Government students completed WB pg. 36 which required them 
to look at the Idaho State constitution.  For tomorrow students should read 
pg. 147-150.  Students also received their Ch. 6 test back.  They can correct 
mistakes to improve their score.  They also need to complete WB pg. 37-38 for 
Wednesday.

11/12

Today in American Government we began looking at Federalism and Interstate 
Relationships.  
For Monday students need to complete WB pg. 36.

11/11
Today in American Government the Ch. 6 test was scheduled.  For tomorrow 
students should begin reading chapter 7 on Federalism (pgs. 140-144).
Students who missed the test will need to make it up at lunch or after school 
tomorrow.

11/10
Today in American Government students turned in WB pgs. 31-34.  We spent time 
reviewing for the test on Ch. 6 which is tomorrow.

Today in American Government students turned in WB pg. 29-30.  For tomorrow 
they need to complete WB pg. 31-34.  We will review for the Ch. 6 test 
tomorrow and the test will be on Wednesday.

11/5
Today in American Government we finished going over the Constitutional 
Amendments, covering XX-XXVII.
Students were assigned the section review questions on page 138.  They were 
due at the end of class.
For Monday students need to complete WB pages 29-30.

11/4
Today in American Government we went over the Progressive Amendments (XVI-
XIX).  Students completed the review questions on pg. 133 and turned them in 
by the end of class.

11/3
Today in American Government students turned in their review questions from 
page 126.  
We also covered Amendments XI - XV.  For tomorrow students need to complete 
the review questions for those amendments on pg. 130.

11/2
Today in American Government students turned in their review questions from 
page 118, 120, 121 and 122.
We then went over the 1st ten amendments of the Constitution - The Bill of 
Rights.
For tomorrow students need to do the review questions on the Bill of Rights 
which are on page 126.

10/29
Today in American Government we went over articles III-VII of the 
Constitution.  For Monday students should do the review questions on pages 
118, 120, 121 and 122 for each of these articles.

10/28
Today in American Government we finished going over Article I of the 
Constitution and went over Article II, as well.
For tomorrow students need to complete the review questions for Article I on 
page 113 and for Article II on pagem 117.

Today in American Government we began going over Article I of the 
Constitution which deals with the Legislative Branch of the government.  We 
will finish going over it tomorrow.
For tomorrow students need to read 114-117 on the Executive Branch.

10/26
Today in American Government we went over the "Basic Principles" of the 
Constitution.  Students also turned in their review questions from page 105.
For tomorrow students need to read 106-113.  We will begin looking at the 
text of the Constitution.

10/22
Today in American Government we began our study of the Constitution.  We 
talked about the first section of Ch. 6 "Practical Characteristics."  
For Monday students need to read the next section (pgs. 100-105) and do the 
review questions on page 105.

 


Students in American Government can get extra credit points when they bring 
in their voter registration card.
