United States History

3/18
Today in U.S. History students turned in WB 77-78. We also reviewed Ch. 15.
Next week we will begin looking at "The Gilded Age."
Students should read pg. 353-360 for Monday.

Today in U.S. History we analyzed a political cartoon by Thomas Nast and 
summarized some of the major scandals that arose during the administration of 
President Grant and we talked about the character of Grant's successor, 
Rutherford B Hayes.

For tomorrow students need to complete WB 77-78 which we already started to 
work on.

Today in U.S. History we talked about events in the North during the 
Reconstruction period and about the legacy of the Civil War and 
Reconstruction.

3/15
Today in U.S. History students turned in WB pg. 73-74.  We also went 
over "Reconstruction in the South."  
For tomorrow students need to read the section on "Reconstruction in the 
North" (pg. 341-348).

Today in U.S. History we completed WB pg. 75.  We also went over some 
information on our family histories.

Today in U.S. History we started to talk about "Reconstruction" following the 
Civil War.  For tomorrow students need to read pg. 336-341.
For Monday students need to complete WB 73-74.

Today in U.S. History students received their tests back.  They can make 
corrections to improve their scores.

Today in U.S. History students took their Chapter 14 test.
For tomorrow they need to read pg. 331-336.

We reviewed for the Ch. 14 test which is on Monday.

students need to complete WB pg. 72 which goes with the "Perspectives" 
section.
