About Mrs. Bauman

     Welcome to the Elementary Gifted Program!  For the 08-09 school year, I 
will be working with the gifted students at Meehan and Washington Schools.  
This is my ninth year of teaching elementary school and my fourth year of 
teaching in gifted education. This year I am back in school, pursuing a Type 
75 Administration certificate. Previously, I have also taught at Perry and 
Lincoln Elementary, at Keith Country Day School in Rockford and at Saint 
James School here in Belvidere. 

I teach with an interdisciplinary approach to learning.  Within our gifted 
math and reading classes, we will also study science, history, the arts, and 
technology. Outside of school I am an avid reader, musician, and science 
enthusiast. I also design jewelry and run an internet-based business at 
joywinddesigns.etsy.com!
