What is the best way to get in contact with Mrs. Lane?
Email works best - there is a link above - hlane@district100.com
Contact by phone works as well but may take longer for a response - 544.0190 ext. 3267
When all else fails, send a note with your child!
What is Mrs. Lane's grading policy?
I accept all work that is complete and turned in on time. In
addition, a late pass may be used for work that is not complete
by the due date. This work will be taken up to a week after the
deadline. Students are given late passes at the beginning of the
year; five for first quarter, four for second quarter, three for
third quarter, and two for fourth quarter.
All work will be checked for comprehension.
I give absent/makeup work full credit when turned in within 2
days of an absence unless accompanied by a late pass.
What does Mrs. Lane offer for extra credit?
I allow students to correct selected tests and quizzes for 1/2 credit.
Students are encouraged to meet deadlines and demonstrate quality
work habits on a consistent basis. The extra effort put into an
assignment, extra studying for a test, or extra time put into
correcting tests and quizzes will result in receiving the best
scores possible.
How can I check my grades online?
Parents and students alike are now able to check grades online.

What should I do if I miss science class?
Any student missing school has two days for every day of absence
in which to make up missed work. It is the student's
responsibility to ask for, obtain, and complete any missing
work. Students should first check the weekly agenda for
assignments, gather missed handouts from the black bins, and
begin completing work. If assistance is needed or if a lab was
missed, set up an appointment with Mrs. Lane so she can help you.
