6th Grade Homework Policy
Homework is an important component to your child’s academic success. Your
child may have homework everyday. It is your child’s responsibility to bring
homework back to school and turn it in.
Consequences for late work will include a grade reduction. After a
reasonable amount of time, if the assignment is not turned in, a zero may be
administered.
6th Grade Discipline Policy
Sixth grade teachers use a behavior slip/check system. Each classroom
teacher posts his/her rules.
If a student breaks a rule, he/she pulls a slip, fills it out, and gives it
to that classroom teacher. Each period teacher is responsible for keeping
track of the behavior slips for their students in that subject or study hall.
If a student accumulates at least 3 behavior slips in any subject or study
hall, at any time during the quarter, he/she will serve a detention.
Students begin each quarter with zero slips.
