Calculators Needed!
Students will need a calculator for the upcoming ISAT tests. Please send in an
inexpensive, basic calculator for your student. Calculators need to have the
students name clearly written or taped to the calculator. I will be holding
the calculators until ISAT time. Students will be learning how to use the
calculators in class. We will be having our first lesson this Thursday. Please
check the district website for testing dates.
Please be sure your student is dressed appropriately for the weather.
Students will be going outside in snow and until the temperature reaches 10
degrees. Hats, mittens, and scarves should be worn. Now that snow has fallen,
boots and snow pants are also required to play in the snow.

We have 3 classroom rules which you should be aware of.
1. Be respectful
2. Be responsible
3. Be ready to learn
Changes are being made to how we do Spelling City starting this week. You will
see a small piece of paper with your child’s score. If you would like to see
the words your child misspelled, please ask them to write them down for you.
We will not be printing copies of the test. If any child misses more than 10
words, I will save it as a PDF and e-mail it to you.
Students have been doing well with spelling on the computer. They are welcome
to visitSpellingCityto practice and interact with their words.
