Native American Unit

In November, second graders will participate in a 
Native American "switch day." Students will go from class to class
to learn about the crafts, houses, food,
and clothing of the Native Americans.

Prime Time

This is a FREE second grade day event! On the day of the program 
students are given 2 books and a t-shirt. They will participate in
a day long event to celebrate reading! They will read,
listen to a story teller, read, eat pizza, read, play games, read, sing songs, and read!
It's an exciting day made possible by our Freezy Friday fundraier
and donations from local businesses.

Walk-a-Thon

Walk-a-thon is an activity that takes place during school hours in the spring. 
Students are asked to raise money that will go toward second grade activities.
It is our goal that each kid will raise $10. All students will particiapte in
the walk-a-thon, pledges are not mandatory.

Second Grade Stores

This year we are doing something a little different than in years 
past. To go along with our study of economics each classroom will
be making one product that we will construct and sell to other
second grade classrooms. This project will be done completely at school!

Field Day

Field Day will be a half day activity that will take place in May.
It is a FREE activity where students will play games and have a
fun day outside (weather permitting)!
