~School Board Mtg. next Monday, May 21. 7pm at the Middle School.
~Milwaukee Zoo Field Trip is Thursday, May 24. Please send students with a lunch in a disposable bag, wearing comfortable shoes, and dressed for the weather. Sunscreen and a water bottle are a good idea. Students may not bring any electronic devices or cameras.
~Teacher Institute Day Friday, May 25 - No School.
~Memorial Day Monday, May 28 - No School.
~Last Day of School Monday, June 4 - early dismissal 10:30am. Report cards will be passed out.
What we've been up to in 3K
Reading: We've read The Story of the Statue of Liberty by Betsy and Giulio Maestro and Happy Birthday Mr. Kang by Susan L. Roth.
Writing/Grammar: Capital letters and abbreviations. Combining sentences and writing a variety of sentences.
Spelling: Vowel sounds in tooth and cook and the schwa sound.
Math: Fractions, Multiplication.
Science: The Human Body.
Read Aloud: Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo.
