The Big Hollow Nature Center

Nature Center Revitalization Project

The Big Hollow Nature Center Committee, headed up by Michelle Connolly, started the process to clean up and enhance the Nature Center in the spring of 2011. Our ultimate goal is to create an outdoor classroom where students, staff, and the Big Hollow community can come and interact with a variety of plants, trees and wildlife. Last year Baxter Corporation generously volunteered to support the clean-up efforts with local volunteers and tools, gloves, and other equipment for the students and volunteers to use.

We have just completed the second half of our project with all the pods being weeded and mulched. We are now looking forward to completing the planting of the various pods. If you are interested in getting involved, please join the following local donors in helping us with the Nature Center.
