Does my child need to be able to try their shoes before entering kindergarten?

No, but it will be necessary for you to work with your child on this skill at
home.  All kindergartners will need to be able to tie their shoes by November.

Does my child need a separate pair of shoes for P.E.?

Your child needs to wear a gym shoe for P.E. and will need a pair if their
regular school shoes are not an athletic type shoe.  They store their P.E.
shoes in their cubby in the hall.
