August Information:
1. Kindergarten dismissal time is 1:00 until Labor Day. We will bring the
students out to the front door as a group.
2. Please let me know ASAP what kind of milk your child would like for snack.
This will be the same every day. At lunch they may choose any kind of milk
they wish.
September Information:
1. Keep the little books that come home each week. They are great reading
practice. Get your child a small basket or bin to store them in for quiet
reading time. Encourage your child to read often and to start picking out the
words he/she knows.
2. Book Buddies. I didn't mention these at all! Every week your child will
bring home a "book buddy" on Thursday. The book will be in a plastic zip type
bag. Please read together and answer the questions on the activity card.
some of the books will be classroom made books with fun activity cards
included. Please return the books by Tuesday of the following week.
3. Please practice shoe tying. It is a difficult skill that needs
reinforcement. This is most successfully completed at home because of time
and the personal attention a parent can provide.
