This is currently my 7th year teaching and my 6th year teaching First Grade at
Shute School (I did, however, complete my student teaching here at Shute in
first grade, as well.)! I graduated from Illinois State University in 2005
with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. In 2008, I attained my Master's
Degree in Teaching & Leadership from St. Xavier University.
I taught my first year at Bolin School where I had a wonderful group of third
graders. However, I had a passion to teach the younger children so I moved to
Shute where I work with a great group of educators. I absolutely love it
here!
I have lived in East Peoria my whole life. I even attended Shute School as a
young girl. Currently, I live in East Peoria with my husband Scott. We have
a son, Callen, who is 3. He's a mover and shaker who keeps
us on our toes...constantly!! We have also been blessed with a beautiful
daughter, Cora, who was just born this past October. We also have two of the
cutest dogs (at least
we think they are the cutest): Sachi and Pete.
